Dr. Jose Abreu is general, laparoscopic and bariatric surgeon with over 20 years of experience. He studied at the Autonomous University of Santo Domingo ( UASD ) , obtaining the title of Doctor of Medicine in 1986 .


He has worked in various hospitals in the country such as: Hospital Dr. Salvador B. Gautier (IDSS Sto Dgo.) Hospital Race and Hospital of Orthopedics and Traumatology Cupcake Salinas (Mexico DF) where he specialized in general surgery. Advanced Laparoscopic Surgery Performed at Dr. Peset Hospital of Valencia, Spain and Bariatric Surgery in Medellin, Colombia supported by Ethicon-Endosurgery and Medlap of Colombia.


University professor in the subjects Surgical Pathology and Surgical Semiotics for 10 years, and coordinator of Medicine rotating internship, internship coordinator surgery for several periods in the Nordestana University of San Francisco de Macoris.


Currently a member of staff surgeon at the Clinic Medical Union Del Norte, Santiago De Los Caballeros Hospital and Dr. Rafael Castro.
